RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police Department is investigating a lethal crash involving a pedestrian on Richmond’s Northside.

At round 6:45 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 26, officers had been referred to as to the 2900 block of Chamberlayne Ave for a automobile crash with private damage.

Upon arrival, police discovered {that a} pedestrian had been crossing the road from east to west when he was struck by a road sweeper. The driver remained on the scene following the crash.
